We were briefed by this client to look at their whole portfolio of commercial and residential rental assets and other development activities to help tie their sustainability and net zero strategies into one actionable policy. This was a complex project due the wide range of business activities and projects undertaken by the organisation and involved us not only looking at minimising usage emissions from their properties, but also creating a best practice guide for reducing life cycle emissions from the embodied build phase of developments.  We worked with the client to leverage the latest concepts around ideas such as buildings as material banks, low carbon concrete and the latest retrofit techniques.

Our final work also included harmonisation of their social sustainability priorities and a creating governance / KPI structure to track and support their progress.

Although we had started on creating a plan for our business to achieve net-zero emissions we have greatly benefited from the support – both strategic and practical – that working with Jennie and Paul at Green Works has given us.  We now have a really good idea of what success will look like and have focused our work to achieve this. It has been very useful exercise for us and we have enjoyed working with you both.
