We have delivered Carbon Literacy Training courses since 2020 and to date have helped over 500 individuals / businesses become certified and carbon literate. The learning is suitable for anyone with an interest in climate change and is ideal for people who are taking on sustainability responsibilities in their workplace.

All our courses are developed using the Carbon Literacy Project’s guidelines, and can be tailored to your business or sector.  Our most popular versions currently include a course designed specifically for SMEs and also one for the Creative Sector.

What is Carbon Literacy?

Carbon Literacy is an awareness of the carbon dioxide costs and impacts of everyday activities, and the ability and motivation to reduce emissions, on an individual, community and organisational basis.

The training will give you an overview of the science, issues and challenges around climate change, focusing in on the impacts of an individuals own activities and the climate actions to take in order to reduce carbon emissions. The course will also empower learners to take climate action in a business setting and will give teams the knowledge, skills and confidence to reduce your organisational carbon footprint and support your company’s journey to Net Zero.

Learning options are flexible with full day formats, 2 x 4 hour sessions or 4 x 2 hour sessions.  On-line, hybrid or in-person versions available. Participants must complete the full 8 hours of learning and some follow-up work to obtain certification.

Having a carbon literate management team or entire workforce is a fantastic way to signal strong environmental intent to your stakeholders.  Knowledge is key!
